The initiation process often begins with one person, or a small group of people who decide that their community should enjoy the benefits that Re-food Movement provides.
They begin to activate resources in the community - starting with the most important resource: people of good will. The process continues through formation and organization, then to investigation and planning, then to implementation and activation - and finally to inauguration and operation.
The goal of the process is to establish a fruitful and sustainable neighborhood food rescue and delivery service that will serve the community for many, many years.
The process unfolds in five phases: Formation, Information, Confirmation, Implementation and Operation - it take some months to accomplish all of the work involved, but the results are worth it.
